ABOUT

GET TO KNOW THE SCULPT TEAM

Sculpt Reformer Pilates owner and head trainer, Michaela has always had a passion for health and wellbeing. After years of high-intensity and high-impact training as a pre-professional ballerina and teacher, Michaela was blown away to discover the benefits of Pilates in 2018.

Having completed her qualifications in Mat, Reformer and Pre and Post Natal Pilates, Michaela quickly became a sought-after teacher for group pilates classes at local physio clinics, sports clubs and high schools. After working in the industry for several years and having noticed the growing demand for pilates in Christchurch, Michaela felt it was a natural progression to combine her knowledge and teaching experience to open a space where everyone was welcome to enjoy the benefits (and burn!) of Reformer Pilates - and so, Sculpt Reformer Pilates opened its doors!

Today, Michaela and her tight-knit team of highly skilled trainers pride themselves on creating a supportive and friendly environment where all skill levels and fitness abilities are welcomed to experience dynamic Reformer Pilates.

FAQs

  • How do I sign into my account?
You can log into your account on our website or via the Glofox mobile app to view the schedule, book a class or buy a membership. Simply sign in with the email address and password you used to create the account.
  • What does Waitlist Open vs Fully Booked mean?
We have a maximum of 6 spots on each class waitlist. This allows us to best manage movements on these waitlists. If a class says Waitlist Open, you can join the line and will be notified of your position on the waitlist. If a class says Fully Booked, the class and waitlist are both fully booked.
  • What times are your classes?
Check out our Schedule here! You can see and book classes up to two weeks in advance (and remember, even if your preferred time is full, it's always worth joining the waitlists as spots often open up!).
  • How do your waitlists work?
Our classes are limited to 12 people. Due to this, classes fill up quickly! If your preferred class is full, we highly recommend jumping on the waitlist, as there is a good chance your spot will open up! Plus it lets us know if you'd like to see more class times on the schedule. You will be notified via a push notification on the App (or email if you have never used the App) if you get moved off the waitlist and into the class.Your credit will only be used if you are moved off the waitlist, into class. The same cancellation window of 12 hours applies to the waitlist. If you move off the waitlist and cancel within 12 hours, you will not receive your credit back for the class.
  • I've never done Reformer Pilates before, where do I start?
Our Principles class is the perfect place to start. Our unique Reformer Pilates method means we can cater our group classes to all skill levels and fitness abilities. If you are looking for a more in-depth introduction to the Reformer and our dynamic method, our private sessions are also a great option and can be used to build confidence before entering the group setting.
  • It's my first class, what do I need to bring?
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so that we can get to know you, show you around the studio and explain the Reformer machine. You'll need to wear activewear and bring grip socks (these are also available to purchase in studio) as well as a water bottle.
  • I need to cancel a booking, what's your cancellation policy?
Our class cancellation window is 12 hours. If you need to cancel class, please do so at least 12 hours before your class to give someone else the chance to take your spot. If you cancel within 12 hours, you will not receive your credit back for the class. If you cancel out of the 12 hour cancellation window you will receive that class credit back and be able to book another class with that credit. No shows and absences will forfeit the session.
  • I've registered for an account, but I can't book into a class?
Before booking into any classes, you will first need to purchase a concession pack or membership. Please ensure you have successfully loaded your preferred payment method and made a purchase before attempting to book. To check your Payment History, tap the profile icon on the top left hand corner of your App > Payments. You can then check whether or not you have successfully purchased a concession pack or membership.
